Chief Executive Officer
Corey earned a BS in Physiological Science from UCLA and a Masters in Education and Administrative Credential from National University in Los Angeles. He began his career in the Inglewood Unified School District, where he was a middle school science teacher. After ten years of service, Corey transitioned to Bright Star Schools in Los Angeles, CA. He would spend two more years teaching before moving into the role of Assistant Principal and later Principal of (then) Bright Star Secondary Charter Academy, where he actively served underrepresented students in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles. After his move to Richmond, VA, Corey spent the next 5 years as the Founding Principal and Chief Academic Officer of Cristo Rey Richmond High school (a unique school designed to serve students of limited economic means, achieve success through a corporate work study program). In September of 2023, Corey assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of Peter Paul Development Center in Richmond’s East End neighborhood. Corey is married to a fellow educator, Bridget, and has 3 children; daughters Corinne (16) and Celeste (10), and son Christian (14) .
