Connecting Students, Parents, and Teachers
COMMUNITY ACTION NETWORK (CAN)
The Community Action Network (CAN) is a collaborative group of residents, educators, service providers, and community leaders working together to address challenges and strengthen opportunities across Richmond's East End. Meeting every other month, CAN creates space for community members to share information, build partnerships, identify emerging needs, and develop solutions that reflect the voices and priorities of local residents.
Through open dialogue and collective action, CAN helps connect individuals and families with resources, support services, and educational opportunities. The network also serves as a catalyst for community-driven initiatives such a workshops and targeted events designed to equip community members with evidence-based strategies for supporting themselves and others.
By bringing diverse perspectives to the table, CAN strengthens the community's ability to respond to complex issues such as substance use, mental health, family stability, and access to resources. Together, members work to create a healthier, safer, and more connected East End where individuals and families can thrive.
